  Even though 3 years have now passed it still should be commented about. I got married 3 years ago and chose this place to do my wedding cake since the cake I tasted at the bridal show was better than the other vendors there. Went and had the appointment with the cake decorator (who happens to own the place) she did seem snotty like everyone else had described in other comments. Telling me what I should and shouldn't have on my cake. I wanted the design to be painted in gold it would have made the cake pop more and in my eyes it would have been beautiful but she told me no since gold is for 50th anniversary cakes. Who cares that is what I wanted and I was willing to pay for it since it was my wedding. Then a week before the wedding she informs me that chocolate would not be an option for my cake and apparently no other flavor besides white since the batch of chocolate they got in wasn't setting correctly but it just so happens that was the same time the cat museum was opening downtown and they had ordered a cake from this place as well...hmmm what a coincidence...I didn't get any money back from this "mishap" either. The only one that seemed apologetic was one of her workers there. I doubt I would go back to this place to be told what I can and cannot have on future cakes or what cake flavors I would have to deal with right along with snotty service.

  Dorothy is very helpful and they really want to make ur day special. Very easy to work with..we are getting our wedding cake from them. Will post more after our wedding day.

  I have been frequently the Cake Shoppe for all of my baking needs for over 5 years. Every time I visit the staff are pleasant, helpful and kind. They have an amazing selection of tools and supplies and the only chocolate I will use in my baking. Thank you for being so awesome!
